• Section 34A – Permanent and Total – if your injury results in total disability on a permanent basis, you could received weekly benefits of 66% of your gross pre-injury wages, indefinitely (ie, for the rest of your life).

Medical Benefits

Sections 13 & 30 of the MA Comp Law provide that the workers comp insurer is responsible for all medical benefits that are reasonable, necessary, and related to the injury at work. Sounds simple, but that’s not often the case. Workers Comp Insurers frequently contest responsibility for the payment of medical benefits, most often on the grounds that the treatment is related to a preexisting, non-work-related condition.
